Kansas City Septic Tank Installation

The process in any septic installation includes surveying the site and performing a soil test on the area where the Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (Septic System) will be installed.

Several factors need to be considered, including available space, topography, intended purpose and perceived water use based on the size of the dwelling/building the system will service, and location of the well and/or neighboring wells.

There are two categories of septic systems:

1. Gravity Fed or Conventional Septic Systems

2. Alternative Systems including Aerobic Treatment Units  (Alternative systems usually include electric pumps)

This is a project typically recommended for professionals with experience in the field due to the potential risk to environment by pollution of the watershed.

Kansas City Septic Tank Pumping

As a general rule, you should ideally empty out your septic tank once every three to five years. The professionals at Chapman Septic Service have been serving the Kansas City Metro and surrounding areas for nearly 30 years!

Regularly pumping out your septic tank is necessary for maintaining healthy operation. A septic tank that isn't working properly can pose problems for households or businesses, such as sewage back-ups into home drains or sewage surfacing from the ground near the septic tank.

Septic Tank Cleaning & Maintenance in Kansas City, MO

Pump Your Septic System Regularly

The more people who use your septic system, the greater your water flow. This means your septic tank will fill up faster and will require more frequent pumping.

Keep Septic Tanks Accessible

Have "risers" installed to make septic tank pumping and monitoring visits easier, cheaper, and less time-consuming. A "riser" also makes pumping and monitoring cause less mess and disruption in your yard.

Be Water-Wise

Using less water may increase the life of your septic system. Using too much water is a frequent factor in failed systems.

"His kindness is so appreciated and he taught me a lot in that 5 minute phone call!"

We recently bought a home that had a new septic system put in prior to us moving in, but they didn't take the old tank out (not work done by Chapman). We needed help figuring out which clean out line in the yard belonged to the current tank. I called Chapman to see if they would come out and figure it out for us. He very kindly explained to me over the phone how to figure it out on our own. He could have easily came out, charged us a service fee etc and only spent 30 seconds of his time figuring it out on his own. His kindness is so appreciated and he taught me a lot in that 5 minute phone call! I would like to add that I called Bates City Septic prior, and he quoted me $350!!! to come out and look. and Chapman did it free over the phone. So glad my neighbors told us about their good experience with Chapman and I called them instead. BTW, avoid Bates City Septic, especially if you are a woman. Yikes. ( I say this because my husband has contacted them before with a very different experience) Hopefully won't need any plumbing services soon, but if so, we will most definitely be calling/ hiring Chapman.
